Frequently Asked Questions

How do I test my internet speed?

Please follow below steps:

1. Download  Worldnet Bandwidth Test and unzip to a folder.
2. Run "WorldnetBWTest.exe"
3. Close all applications running on your computer and turn off all downloads before executing this test.
4. Click "Start" button and wait for about 10 seconds.
5, The result will appear when the test completes, scroll down to bottom of the result. Last two lines starting with [SUM] are the average bandwidth measured from the Worldnet speedtest server and PC running the program.

Example - Fibre 100Mbps test result:

......
[SUM] 0.00-10.00 sec 105 MBytes 88.2 Mbits/sec 162	sender
[SUM] 0.00-10.00 sec 105 MBytes 87.8 Mbits/sec receiver

Notes:
* If you get "iperf3: error - the server is busy running a test. try again later" message, then select different Bandwidth server port and click Start button again..
* Worldnet Bandwidth Test uses standard TCP protocol to measure the throughput and typically it reflects about 85-90% of the maximum speed. The difference is largely due to TCP algorithm features such as acknowledgments, number of packets to send according to latency, dropped packets etc.
