WorldNet Email Setup Guide on Apple (iPhone)

| Email Setup on iPhone


Step-1. Set up an Email account in the Mail app on the iPhone

: Settings > Apps > Mail


Step-2. Add Account

: Tap [Add Account] > Tap [Other] > Tap [Add Mail Account]

Step-3. New Account settings

(1) Name: [enter your name]

(2) Email address: [enter your WorldNet email address]

(3) Password: [enter your email password]

(4) Description: [enter description]

(5) Tap [Next]


Step-4. Select account type

Note that IMAP syncs emails across multiple devices by storing them on the server, while POP downloads emails to one device and typically removes them from the server.

(1) Click [POP3 account or IMAP account]

(2) Incoming mail server

- Host Name: mail.worldnet.co.nz

- User Name: (e.g. wntest@worldnet.co.nz)

- Password: (your password)

(3) Outgoing mail server

- Host Name: mail.worldnet.co.nz

- User Name: (e.g. wntest@worldnet.co.nz)

- Password: (your password)

(4) Tap [Next]

(5) Tap [Save]


Step-5. Configure WorldNet mail account [SMTP]

: Settings > Accounts & Passwords

(1) Choose [WorldNet mail] > Tap [Account - xxx@worldnet.co.nz]

(2) Tap [SMTP] on the Outgoing mail server

- Host Name: mail.worldnet.co.nz

- Username: (email account name)

- Password: (your email address password)

- Use SSL: Enabled (Green)

- Authentication: Password

- Server Port: 587


Step-6. Configure WorldNet mail account [IMAP]

: Settings > Accounts & Passwords

(1) Choose [WorldNet mail] > Tap [Account - xxx@worldnet.co.nz]

(2) Tap [Advavnced] and then go to the [Incoming settings]

- Use SSL: Enabled (Green)

- Authentication: Password

- IMAP Path Prefix: /

- Server Port: 993
