Isolation Test
| Isolation Test?
The isolation test is a diagnostic process to help identify internet connection issues by isolating your connection from additional network devices like routers or switches. This helps us determine if any issues are related to our network or equipment within your setup.
| Steps for the Isolation Test
1. Direct Connection:
- Connect your PC/laptop directly to the active port on the ONT using a CAT 5e or higher Ethernet cable.
- Note for Fibre Service: Confirm with us to check the active port (typically LAN/GE 1 or 2).
- Note for Hyperfibre Service: Use a device with a 2.5G Ethernet port or higher for optimal performance, and connect to the 10G active port on the ONT using a CAT 6 or higher Ethernet cable.
2. Testing:
- Use the Speedtest App: Open the Speedtest app on your PC/laptop instead of a browser. This avoids browser-related limitations and provides more accurate results.
- Download Speedtest by Ookla:
- Click the Windows icon and type store.
- Search for Speedtest by Ookla, download, and open it.
- Run the Speed Test:
- Select the server [Feenix Communication Limited].
- Click Go to start the test.
- Share Your Results:
- Take a screenshot of the result and send it to usĀ for further assistance.
