Landline Setup Options for Home Networks
Option 1. Standard phone connected directly to ONT TEL port
- Cable needed : RJ11-RJ11
- SIP information stored in the ONT
Option 2. Use ATA device to connect the standard phone to the router
- When TEL port on ONT is already occupied
- Connection: ONT > ROUTER > ATA > PHONE
- Cables needed: RJ45-RJ45 & RJ11-RJ11
- ATA device connected to one of the LAN ports on router
- SIP information stored in the ATA device
Option 3. Connect IP Phone to the router
- Connection: ONT > ROUTER > IP Phone
- Cable needed: RJ45-RJ45
- IP Phone connected to one of the LAN ports on router
- SIP information stored in IP Phone
